I spent much of the weekend in train related activities. I started out by going down to the San Leandro Historical Railway Society, of which I am the scenery committee chairman. I spent most of the time there working on the scenery in the Selby area. I added a parking lot and worked with some of our members with general repairs to scenery in preparation for our upcoming open house.
After leaving the club I went home and installed a sound decoder and speaker into a Bachman model of a Shay locomotive. I found that this was relativity easy using the Soundtrax kit. After completing the install I headed back to the club to test and program the locomotive. I found that this was a relatively easy task, using the Decoder Pro software.
I spent the rest of the weekend assembling a variety of rolling stock kits from Roundhouse and Walthers, I will most likely show pictures after I have weathered them.
